Lofty’s Legends were one up at half time through Alan Lickes as he steam rollered his way through the defense. After the break CRW XI equalized through Lewis Wilson with a neat finish. CRW XI then went 2 – 1 up when Ben Duffill headed home. Soon after the score was 3 -1 when Andy Lickes scored past twin brother Kev much to the delight of the former. Lofty’s Legends pulled back a goal through Chris Allen to ensure a nervy finish for the CRW XI. The game however, finished 3 – 2 in what was a keenly contested and close game.

After the game Dean Storry made a short presentation of the winners trophy donated by Chris’ mum and dad Bob and Andrea. The winner’s trophy was collected by CRW XI skipper and Chris’ brother Rich, which was very fitting. The man of the match was presented with a trophy, also donated by Bob and Andrea, and a big bottle of Moet champagne donated by Kay Lickes. This was presented to Curtis Drummond of the CRW XI.

A Raffle and a buffet were held at the East Riding afterwards. The amount of raffle prizes was astounding! Among the most notable prizes were a bale of hay and a pregnancy test! The money raised on the raffle was £723, which will go into the Chris Woodhead Memorial Fund. There was also a food in your contest headed by Kev Metcalfe and Jordan Wharton. Thanks to Janet Jack and Anne Mennell for arranging the raffle and to all who sold tickets including, Karl Skelton, Dean Foxton, Jordan Wharton, Ross Anderson and Steven Parker. Also, a big thank you to Les Towse for refereeing the game.

A new kit is being donated by our very loyal sponsors MCS Structures. Chris's number 5 with his initials will be embroidered on the shirts, the additional costs being covered by Chris's Mum & Dad, Bob and Andrea Woodhead, whom the club cannot thank enough for their gesture and hope that the club will be able to honour it in any way Chris would have wanted.
